One of the BEST Lip Balms I've Ever Tried
I consider myself a lip balm connoisseur (I review lip balm products!) and this is by far one of my favorites. I've tried many "for men" lip balms, but a lot of them have weird smells or are kind of gimmicky and, yes, they have sheen. This one however does exactly as it says and is very matte and has basically no shine. In direct light and up very very close, it's very slightly visible (the film is there), but there's not much other than that. The glide and feel of this balm is very smooth and not oily or waxy at all. I highly recommend this stuff to all my guy friends since a lot of them want an upgrade from your standard drugstore lip balm.

No-Shine No-Moisture Lip Balm
Sure, this doesn't have much shine (mind you, there is some) but it's not nearly as effective at soothing chapped lips or preventing them as stuff that you can find in your neighborhood drugstore.
I've been searching for a really good lip moisturizer and broke down and bought this one for $9 (egad!) and after a few weeks of using it without success, I went back to the pharmacy and picked up ChapStick 8-hour Moisturizer (the blue label one) for $1.50 and couldn't be happier.
If you're looking for some minimal lip protection (and maybe a little buyer's remorse), go for it but if you're looking for the real deal, don't (for what it's worth)!

Excellent Product: Leaves little shine on lips
I have been using this product for years and really enjoy it. It leaves lips smooth and hydrated without having a glossy shine on them which was my original reason for buying this for the first time years ago. If you need a solid lip balm and dont want a womanly shine on your lips or feminine scents or flavors this is the best option out there. Would love limited edition versions with eucalyptus oil scents or Cedarwood.It may not be as deep of a moisture as Carmex or something Medicated but it holds up for longer and feels much better on your lips. KIEHLS PLEASE MAKE A MEDICATED VERSION AND one with SPF!!!! and this would be the PERFECT product!

Ultimate betrayal Kiehls
I am shocked to find this product has been discontinued. I have used it exclusively for the past decade or so because every other competitor brand of men’s lip balm on the market had a disappointing feature. Burt’s bees gave me a rash, not really their fault that I was unknowingly allergic to one of the ingredients, but like others, it had too much shine, weird aftertaste or unappealing mouth feel. Living in the cold, dry northeast US, I would purchase 6-12 of the Kiehl’s lip balms to get me through Fall and Winter. @Kiehls, I feel betrayed. I will buy a palate if it meant bringing it back to market. MY LIPS ARE DYING HERE!!!!

Great product for men or women
Although this product is technically from the men's skin-care line, I'm a woman who uses it and loves it (the shine/no-shine factor isn't really an issue for me). Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I'm not a big fan of the other lip balm - I prefer to use the twist-up tube, and also don't really like products with petrolatum. And, in the past, I have purchased other brands of lip balms (very popular and/or fairly expensive brands) that seem to have some ingredient that I'm allergic to. But this Facial Fuel lip balm really fits the bill for me, and works very well.

Bring it back!
This is the best go-to lip balm for men. It’s long lasting, narrow tube for an everyday, all day, carry. It doesn’t leave a feeling or taste like so many others. Why why why would you do this.
As a long term loyal customer, I’m frustrated enough I might need to start diversifying. Every year or two you discontinue the products we use that work! First it was the cannabis facial wash series - now this.
If you’re not planning on continuing creating men's focused lines, just tell us and we’ll search for something else.
So disappointed and frustrated. Wishing I’d bought more that four for this winter.

Adequate substitute for discontinued Butterstick.
I’ve been using your Butterstick for years and sorry it has been discontinued. I bought this as I substitute and it is adequate. It goes on just as smooth which is difficult to find in other products. However, it does not have sunscreen and has a slight minty task which is not offensive but I could do without.
I am really writing this review as a plea to whoever reviews them to please bring back the Nutterstick product. It was the best!!!

Shine-Free Wonder Balm!
My personal fav lip balm...it hydrates lips without drying them out, regardless of how many times I apply throughout the day; has worked well in both cold, dry winters and high, humid altitudes... no shine but lips still look soft & healthy, and the peppermint is a great smelling and tasting addition!
