Please, please please bring back the jar of Lip Balm!
I've been using the lip balm in the jar(tub) since 1992 and am now distraught and dismayed that you can no longer purchase the lip balm this way. I consistently had a jar in every room of my house, in all of my bags and in my car. The lip balm in the tube is horrible in comparison. Now I don't know what to do. PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!!!
I have tried all the other lip care products and nothing comes close to the lip balm in the jar. I buy all of my skin care/hair care products from Kiehls and I am upset enough about the jar of lip balm being canceled that I am very close to being done with Kiehl's altogether and getting my products elsewhere.

Angry Kiehl's Customer
I have been using Kiehl's products for 20+ years including the #1 Lip Balm. Every day and night I get so angry at Kiehl's for changing this product. It dries out your lips and causes peeling. It doesn't last more than 30 minutes if that long and that is with using 2X the amount. Kiehl's you are misleading your customers in continuing to call this #1. I bought 3 tubes without hesitation not knowing you change the formula. If this was a cost saving formula you really blew it. All of us that have used the original product will not be purchasing from you again. There are other lip balms that cost less and a much better product. Bad Kiehl's!

Not just petroleum
I see some reviews saying it's expensive "petroleum", however this is just plain wrong. If you look at the ingredients (and know a thing or two about them) you'll see that the next largest ingredient in the balm is squalane and then lanolin. Both of these ingredients are known to be extremely moisturizing.
It's a fantastic product to put a bunch on at night (for a guy). This brings me to my only complaint, and that it is very glossy. Can't really ding it too much for this however, since it is petroleum based. I use this at night then kiehl's no shine balm during the day to minimize the "many with lip gloss" effect.

2 types of Parabens
I just received the jar of Lip Balm #1 in the mail yesterday. I have always heard good things about the product and as a lip balm "junkie", I was excited to try it. I like the texture and lack of fragrance but I was very disappointed to see it has 2 types of parabens in the ingredient listing. I would not have bought it if I had known that. The listing of "key ingredients" online does not mention the parabens, as I had made sure to check prior to purchasing. Clearly parabens are not considered "key", but it should be mentioned that they are ingredients in the product as this may influence others decision to buy.

It is awful now - it used to be the best
I have been using Kiehl’s no. 1 lip balm for years from when it was in a jar. It kept my lips healthy and moisturised all day. I purchased it again recently and the formula has completely changed. I tried it to give it a chance but it left my lips dry, tight and chapped and I was reapplying throughout the day (which I hate). Why change the formula? Chanel no. 5 is still Chanel no. 5 - because it is iconic. Kiehl’s no.1 lip balm should still be ‘Kiehl’s No.1 lip balm’. It was iconic but it no longer is. Change the formula back to how it was and keep the actual No.1 lip balm as No.1.

Highly disappointed
I have been using Kiehl’s since 2016 and their Lip Balm #1 Mango just as long. I buy them for friends and family also because anyone who ever tries it instantly becomes obsessed with it. I ran out of my tube and was given one by a friend who bought a few but hadn’t opened them. First, the mango is no longer available. Two, the whole product has been ruined. I’m not sure what caused this shift but this was a horrible decision on Kiehl’s part. I have been using this lip balm so long I don’t have a second option, but I’ll have to do some research because I won’t be purchasing this one any longer.

Fabulous moisturizer, but please bring back the lip gloss line and the mineral mascara
This is a great lip moisturizer, but it is not a lip gloss. Kiehls' LIP GLOSS LINE was incomparable, with a scintillating set of shades and effects that matched all skin types and tones. The MINERAL MASCARA was exceptional -- my lashes grew longer and thicker as a result of wearing it. KIEHLS MUST BRING THESE PRODUCTS BACK -- INGREDIENT IMPROVEMENTS ARE NOT NECESSARY. For people with extremely sensitive skin, they were a godsend -- they nourised and looked better than anything else on the market. This was the only line of makeup I could sleep in -- BRING THE LIP GLOSSES AND MINERAL MASCARA BACK!!!

Not Recommendable
First of all I have to say that I'm a real kiehl's addict!!!
So I'm sorry to say that, allthough the texture of this product is gorgeous, I was really disappointed as I came to read its list of increadiences.... the main component of this lip balm is paraffin which is an extract of petroleum. (my mother tongue is german, so I hope I'm using the right vocabulary) I'm aware that lots of cosmetic products contain this increadience, but personally I have to say that I'm not inclined to use this on my lips.
However, I've already tried lots of kiehl's products yet, but this is the first one I'm quite dissatisfied with.
