Great moisturiser but terrible packaging!
I've been using this moisturiser for a year now and keep coming back to it. It's been great for my skin and have no complaints about the moisturiser itself.
The packaging, however....
Is terrible! The pump is just not suitable for this moisturiser. After using half the bottle the pump is out of action as the cream is stuck to the sides of the bottle which the pump can't get to. So I end up unscrewing the lid and using the pump to scrape the moisturiser off the walls of the bottle. It would be much better if this came in a tub rather than a bottle with a pump.
The pump is not practical and makes an otherwise great product annoying to use.

The BEST face lotion
I never leave reviews for anything but this lotion is too good to not review. I fly A LOT (2-3x a week) and my skin is really taking a beating between that and the cold winter. I walked into an airport Kiehls looking for anything to help (with red, dry face). The lady recommend this and I bought it. OH. MY. GOD. This lotion is incredible. Not only did my skin visibly improve within 2 days of use (I got compliments!), it also looks better than it did before all of my flying. The lotion is somehow both light and very hydrating. It is not greasy and just basically perfect. I have sworn by channel in the past but now this is the only lotion I will ever use.

Works Like Magic
I love this product so much, it's prompted me to write my first review. I've noticed that after a week of using this product once or twice a day, the texture of my skin is the best it's looked in years. I have combination skin where my cheeks get the occasional pimple and are pretty much always splotchy, but this got rid of the redness and got my skin looking smooth, clear, and even. This is the exact effect I've been looking for for years, and I'm still pretty stunned that this product actually helps me achieve that. And I've discovered that a little goes a long way, so that, coupled with the amazing results, makes this purchase worth the price.

Amazing Product!
I have oily skin but I have been getting these dry patches on my eye lids for the past year and they would not go away. I was using the Creamy Avocado Eye Treatment (which long ago had reduced the same problem) daily and had no results. I was wary to try much else since the eyes are so sensitive. I got a sample of the Skin Rescuer (since I do tend to have lots of stress) and in 2 days the dry patches were gone and have stayed gone for the past month! It also reduced the patches of acne that get on my forehead and chin to one odd zit here and there. It is a little expensive but totally worth it! I have never had such great results from any skincare product!

Did exactly what I needed
I had one of those dry patches that I couldn't get rid of. I have very dry skin and I'd had on and off relationships with several Kiehl's products. When nothing worked on my current problem I wandered into the Third Avenue location, encountered a sales person and bought this product at her advice which was cheaper than the other moisturizers that I'd had clutched in my hands. And thank jeebus. This really actually worked. No more dry patches. Smells fine, not sticky, nice texture, easy to use pump. It has lasted ages despite my daily evening application. And I'm sorry people but the price is excellent compared to other the other brands out there. High Five Kiehl's product developers.

super duper results
I am so pleased I purchased this! My skin is sensitive,combination,acne-prone and generally unhappy.....I have used everything from La Prairie to Olay. This is a great cream. My skin is soooothed and calm. It's given me no breakouts, just a bit of shine round the t-zone, but it wasn't really designed for that. It's a little thick for my liking but on the other hand the recipe seems to work. It's gotten rid of my persistent dry patches, which is quite miraculous as not even sleeping with a thick layer of coconut oil seemed to work. If you have skin that gets upset by sunshine, dust, sweat, spicy food, air travel, you name it, then this is the cream for you! P.S. I'm 43

Dramatic yes, also true.
This has been the only product over the years that hasn’t caused flares to my (ultra) sensitive skin. By the other devastated customer reviews I see that there are many of us. I’m over 45. I’ve tried so many. I can’t use many ingredients so finding something with qualities that made this product stand apart is daunting to think about. I know there are worse things, but I’m beginning to panic inside already. The skin flares I’m about to go through, embarrassment leaving my house, so much money to be wasted on new products. Kiehl’s own suggestion of Ultra Facial Cream is a horrible alternative. Don’t you recognize most of us probably started out with that “best selling” suggestion before we got to Skin Rescuer?

surprisingly good for my sensitive skin
I have angry, angry skin, to the point where I was using the oil cleansing method and using oils for moisturizing too. But that left my pores clogged sometimes, even when I used my clarisonic. My mom gave me some of her leftover ultra cleanser (which works very well with my clarisonic) and a sample of the Rescuer, and my skin hasn't looked this good in a couple of years. Fewer bumps from the clarisonic and cleanser, and less redness, no excess oil from the Rescuer. And I'm not afraid when I read the ingredients. Great all around.
