Used to Be the best pre shave scrub
I've been using Kiehl's since 1978 when I used to shop at 14th Street in while in High School. Many different product lines over the years. The facial fuel line for the past 15 or so years has been outstanding and best in class. Unfortunately, they discontinued the after shave. To add further insult someone made the decision to drastically change the quality of the scrub. It is now a touch better than your drugstore scrubs but with a hefty price tag. Way more cream than scrub. I'll be bailing on the scrub and searching for the hits and misses out in the retail world. Save your hard earned money or waste it to concur with my review.

AMAZING PRODUCT!!! A "MUST HAVE" FOR GUYS WITH SENSITIVE SKIN!!!
I'm in my 40s and have very sensitive skin. I hate to shave, and my face hates it even more! For all of my life, I've always gotten little white shaving bumps on my face, usually within about 24 hours of shaving. And for all my life, I've been in search of the "perfect" pre-shave, shaving cream/lotion, and razor. And FINALLY I found the most amazing pre-shave product on the market... Kiehl's Facial Fuel Energizing Scrub Skin Buffer for Men!!! Now that I'm using this scrub right before shaving, I pretty much never get any shaving bumps, and it really helps me get a closer and more comfortable shave. This product is truly amazing, and definitely worth every penny!!!

Great Value for Oily/Combo Skin
This is the best scrub I've used in a long time, mostly because you don't need to moisturize your face afterward. I have really oily/combo skin, and this really keeps oil at a minimum for the majority of the day. My day usually begins at 8am and I don't get done with everything until around 8-10pm. I'd say this face wash keeps the oils balanced up until around 7pm. It lasts that long! I've also noticed my skin tone improving and no acne present. I know the labels say to use this very minimally, but I use this every morning and I'm good to go. This is so-far my favorite scrub ever. A little bit on the pricier side, but so worth it for me and my skin.

A Must Have !
I didn't realize I needed a scrub until I used this product. All I can say is, "WOW"! After the very first use, my skin felt so different. It left my face feeling so clean and soft. The little scrubbing beads are one thing, however, the actual cleanser really forms a thick layer and you can feel it working. The grime and oils just rinse off and your face is just right. Not dry at all and not oily. I follow it up with the after shave lotion and my face feels great. I had someone at work actually ask what was different about my face! I bought a back up tube so I will never run out! My wife bought this for me a few years ago. I still can't believe what a difference this product makes on my face.

This is a great scrub and should be in everyone's shower!
Don't use this daily...2-3 times a week is all you need. Using it more often is not recommended. It is especially effective to use before a shave...it does a good job of loosening up facial hair and minimizing ingrown hairs.
I recommend using a non-exfoliating facial cleanser before this product...you never want to use a scrub on a "dirty" face, because what can sometimes happen is that you actually grind the dirt into your skin. Use the facial fuel cleanser first, and follow with this a few times a week.

my new fave product!!!
i have been using this scrub for about a week now and I have to say i do love it! Some would call me a "skincare snob" after working in cosmetics for over 15 years and using and working for other "higher" pricepoint lines like estee lauder, lamer,and lancome. I have to say this product does what it says it will do and leaves your skin feeling fresh and revived. I like to use it before shaving to raise the hairs on your face and to get a closer shave. You only need a tiny bit and only use it a few times a week. I am so impressed by this scrub and by the entire facial fuel line for men. I also love the facial fuel moisturizer with spf....thank you kiehls!!!!

Soft and refreshed
I have to say, this product is phenomenal. I have used other exfoliants over the years and this one seems to do the job best. While others may also work well in softening the skin and rubbing away grit and dead skin, this one has the added benefit of leaving a refreshed face and feeling awakened due to the menthol and citrus. The smell of it really does add to the whole effect as well. I love the feeling your skin has after using this product, seriously nothing like it. My only concern about this product (very minimal) is that it seems to dry up easily unless your skin is wet enough. I usually just apply more water while working it over my skin so that takes care of that. But really though, excellent product. I use it maybe once at the beginning of the week and my face is good to go!

Excellent
This is a great product -- like almost all of the Kiehl's items. Effectively cleans the surface of the skin, is not so medicated or numbing as the Facial Fuel Shave Cream, and smells great. I had been using the Soy Milk and Honey Body Scrub after shaving, but the Facial Fuel Scrub offers a finer grain, appears to be smoother on the skin, and seems to tighen the pores. Anyway, it's a good item to use 2-3-times a week and to have nearby in the shower. I use it after shaving rather than beforehand ....
