A really good find
Hi there, wanted to share a review on this product. I have been trialling it during this lockdown as i was keen to stop wearing make up- but also not to be totally bare faced!! I was recommended it by a friend, and i have been loving the finish on my skin- the colour is sheer enough to let me skin shine through, but just enough tint to make everything look a bit more even, and disguise patches of red!! It has not aggravated my skin at all, my breakouts are actually a lot less, and I will continue to use this post-lockdown as my skin base. I am not sure this would work for very dark skin types, but for me it is really great.

Fabulous and does what it says
I bought this instead of the Ultra Light Daily Defense SPF 50 which I also love but prefer it more for the hotter months and whilst on holiday. This hasn’t disappointed it’s lightweight and hasn’t made my acne, rosacea or psoriasis worse it anything it’s a lot better after only a week of using. its got a great tint that seems to match any skin tone. I put it on after my serum which is also Kiehl’s and let it sink in for 10 min I then either wear bear as it leaves skin looking lovely and dewy or apply my normal foundation. Great new product that has become my daily staple

Great skin protection
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sensitive skin sunscreen really surprised me, I received it as a test product and coincidentally had a trip to South Africa lined up. To be honest I wasn't expecting this cream to protect my skin fully from the sun so I packed additional sunscreen, which in the end I didn't even need to use! This sunscreen does an amazing job in protecting your skin and covers any kind of skin imperfections at the same time. Got everything covered and for me an absolute need in order to protect my skin. SPF protection for your skin is extremely important, all year round. I would definitely recommend this product!

Very good could be made to be exceptional.
I've never used Kiehl's before but read reviews on this suncreen and decided to purchase as part of my skincare regime. I found this to be a very good product and one of the best mineral sunscreens I have come across, however, the downfalls for me are: It feels like there is oil in this sunscreen which is NOT suitable for oily or acne complexions. Second downfall is that although the tint is great in summer for providing paler complexions with colour it is not universal and for me it is a whole lot darker than my natural skin tone.

Good protection, lightweight, tint not universal
I am a pale-skinned person and wear sun protection all the time. I wore chemical sunscreens last summer and noticed that I was tanning even though I thought I was re-applying regularly and was using high factor protection. So now I have vowed only to use mineral sunscreen on my face. This is Kiehl's only mineral sunscreen offering. I've bought at least 3 bottles of the stuff, so I guess I like it.
Pros are:
- high UVA + UVB sun protection factor;
- protection lasts all day, unlike chemical sunscreens (although I would reapply if I was on holiday somewhere hot and sweating and/or swimming);
- it doesn't break me out, even though I have combination skin that is susceptible to spots in the summer;
- as it is tinted, I can wear it as a light tinted moisturiser in the summer, which I like as I don't like layers of product when it's hot. However, I have worn foundation over it, and this has also been fine.
Cons:
- the tint. Why doesn't Kiehl's produce a non-tinted version?? My husband has a similar skin tone to me, but when he borrows it, it doesn't rub in properly over his stubble and you can see he's wearing make up. It doesn't both him too much, but some men would really not like this. Also, on holiday my friend who is of South Asian origin and has fairly dark skin borrowed this sunscreen, and the tint just did not work for her, even though it is described as "universal" on the bottle. This is definitely not a universal tint!
Bottom line: This is a tinted product. I don't mind that, but it's not what I want all the time, and it's not going to be for everyone, despite the claims on the bottle. Kiehl's should definitely produce a non-tinted version!

Best sunscreen... could easily replace my BB cream
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m so happy I’ve found this sunscreen ahead of a late trip to Seville next month. I hate travelling with lots of products so look to consolidate and take as few as possible when I’m flying. The great thing about this product is that it has a light tint, so I can use this as both a facial sunscreen and a bb cream all in one. The ‘coverage’/ protection lasts all day, with no need to top up (I’ve tested it out in both overcast and full sunny days with great results). Don’t be too worried about the tint unless you have deeper beige- Afro Caribbean skin tones as it’s quite forgiving.

Feels light on the skin with great protection
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been wanting to try this sunscreen for sometime as I have very sensitive skin and a lot of creams can easily upset it. I’m glad to report that as well as being easily applied and very light on my face it caused me no irritation whatsoever. The sunscreen was easy to remove at the end of the day as some creams with a high SPF can leave greasy residues. The sunscreen goes on leaving a matt finish so it was great for me as I have oily combination skin. I was concerned that the sunscreen was tinted but it was very pleasing when applied. Fantastic product that will be part of my daily routine.

Good Product not so great application/value
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sadly I have to give this product a rare average score. It clearly does what it is designed for, protecting your skin from UV.
However I found the amount needed to get a decent coverage and after reapplying means you would likely need two of these bottles every couple of weeks for the entirety of summer.
It has an ok feel at first yet after it had soaked in my skin felt a little more dry than it did matte.
I dont personally suffer from acne or sensitive skin which is the targetted audience for this product. No doubt others with these issues would get on better than I did.
